Equity Trading

As an experienced equity trader, Mr Waters bids for stocks by offering a specific price, while sellers also request a certain price. If these two prices match, a sale takes place, with many investors regularly bidding on the same stocks. The first investor to have placed a bid, in such cases, gets the stock. When a seller accepts any price for the stock they are selling at market value, while when a buyer pays any price for a stock it means they are buying at market value.
